When life gives you lemons, break a light pole.

Dear gist partner, I had a minor accident but I serve a living God 😂.

As I sit down to write this week's love letter, I am reminded of the wise words: "pride comes before a fall." Or in my case, "pride comes before a broken light pole."

Hi gist partner, it’s your favorite girl here again 🤭, and I’m here with yet another gist! Before I continue, merry Christmas my loveeeee 🎄😍. How did your Christmas go?

It all began innocently enough. I had gone to pick up someone from our junction, a short drive from my house. After parking, I attempted to reverse and navigate the narrow space. What developed was a series of awkward maneuvers, with me reversing and driving forward not once, not twice, but four times (apparently, I have to do that same procedure for 5 times).

And then, disaster struck. As I reversed for the fifth and final time, my mum’s vehicle decided to hug and embarrass me that it made contact with the light pole! To my horror, it flashed like a lightning. I was left standing there, feeling like the culprit in a crime scene.

I promptly called my mom and the rest of the family to come and see the damage. Initially, they were upset, but upon arrival, they couldn't help but burst out laughing at the craziness of it all. My mom's word still rings in my head: "If a human being were to lean on that pole, it would break."

Determined to make things right, I called an electrician to report the incident. But what happened next left me stunned. The people living nearby began begging me not to fix the old pole, fearing it would bring more trouble. Instead, they implored me to get a new one. I just started laughing 😂.

Looking at this situation, I am reminded of this popular phrase in the song “I’ve still gat joy in chaos”. Meaning that even in the midst of chaos, there is always room for laughter and growth. So, the next time you find yourself in a tensed situation, take a deep breath, and remember that sometimes, all it takes is a little humor to brighten up the day. See you next time my love 😍.
