It’s 13:20 on Friday, as I lay down on my tiny bed, in my hostel, writing this love letter, I'm reminded of the numerous responsibilities I'm handling. Between doing my projects, preparing for exams, handling executive work in different units, trying to make my brand stable before the official launch date and handling personal tasks, my plate is more than full. I'm sure many of you can relate to this feeling of being overwhelmed.
As a student and an entrepreneur, I wear multiple caps. Each cap represents a unique set of responsibilities, challenges, and expectations. My project work demands creativity, attention to detail, sensitivity, intense work and timely delivery. My exams require intense focus, serious studying, and mental endurance. My executive work involves leadership, fast thinking, problem-solving, and effective communication. My brand work involves getting an official logo, getting some basic equipments, having good publicity measures and sourcing for customers. And, of course, my personal tasks encompass everything from self-care to relationships.
To be honest, handling these multiple responsibilities has taken a toll on my mental and physical health. I've experienced anxiety, fatigue, and mood swings. There have been days when I've felt like I'm drowning in a sea of tasks, with no help in sight.
So, how do I cope with this stress and overwhelm?
As I write you this love letter, my exams are just around the corner – one week to be exact. I'm feeling the pressure, and to be honest, I'm tired. Tired of studying, tired of preparing, tired of feeling like I'm not doing enough.
Well, I know I'm not alone. Many of you may be facing similar challenges, whether it's exams, work deadlines, or personal responsibilities.
How do you cope with this?
What should I do?…..
Maybe I should take a break. Yea I’m taking a break.
As I sign off for now, I want to let you know that I'll be taking a temporary break from writing. My exams are my top priority for the next week, and I need to focus all my energy on preparing.
