I missed you so much my Gist partner.
I still remember the day I was asked to sing in front of over 200 students like it was yesterday. As I recalled that moment, my heart sank, and my palms grew cold instantly. The thought of standing on that stage, vulnerable and exposed, made my stomach twist into knots. As the day drew closer, anxiety crept in slowly, its grip tightening. My hands would tremble, my voice would crack, and my mind would go blank. The fear of embarrassment, of judgment, of failure, was suffocating, leaving me feeling like I was drowning in a sea of self-doubt.
Immediately I was told I was going to be leading this Friday’s praise session, those familiar feelings resurfaced. But this time, I'm determined to overcome them. To build confidence and calm my nerves, I've been rehearsing extensively and visualizing success. Additionally, I've incorporated deep breathing exercises to soothe my nervous system. With these strategies in place, I hope to conquer my anxiety.
By the time you read this, I will have successfully led the praise session, I’ll have confronted my anxiety head-on and emerged victorious.
