Females go through a lot of pain.
It’s 17:11 on Sunday, and I’ve not eaten anything today. Instead, I’m on my bed rolling to and fro, groaning in pain. Yes, it’s that time of the month again. But I find myself wondering in the midst of my pain, why do I have to go through this? I’m in pain, and everybody believes it’s normal. I go through pain every month, and I’m forced to accept that it’s normal.
Sometimes, when I have a chat with my friends concerning a woman’s monthly flow, and they go on and on about how painless theirs is, how in fact they take a lot of sugary stuff and still end up not having any pain, I wonder why can’t I be like them? Why is mine different? Either I take sugary stuff or not, I must cry! That’s what I’m forced to accept.
Feeling pretty in the midst of this chaos 😩
Why do females have to go through a lot of pain just to make sacrifices? You start menstruation, you feel pain. You get disvirgined, you feel pain. You want to bring another life into this world, pain. Starts breastfeeding, pain. Stops breastfeeding, pain. And so many more. Then I find myself asking this question, DOES IT GET ANY BETTER?"
See you next time. In the meantime, please subscribe, share, like and comment. I love you 💘.
Yet with all these we are still the most powerful in every area. God definitely made us special🥹💕
Lovely piece of writing Adewunmi! ❤️
Personally, I feel we are special creations and even if it feels like we go through pain all the time, we still birth the most beautiful things in the world. We create lives by carrying babies in our wombs. We become mothers who build great homes and nurture future generations. We are built to be powerful beings even if it lies in our tenderness, emotions and feelings. Honestly, it’s beautiful but maybe it just comes at the cost of a lot. But I bet you still love being a woman. Don’t you? 🥹🥰
